Business Decision Records (BDRs)
This directory contains records of key business decisions that affect application logic and behavior. These decisions may come from various sources including informal communications (WhatsApp, Slack, email) or formal documentation (briefing documents, requirements specifications, stakeholder meetings).
Quick Start
Option 1: Ask AI Assistant (Recommended)
AI agents will automatically create BDRs when business decisions are mentioned in conversations (using .cursor/rules/bdr-creation-instructions.mdc). Note: AI agents will also check for missing BDRs during PR description creation.
Option 2: Manual Creation
Copy _template.md and rename to next number: 001-your-decision-title.md
Numbering Convention
001-decision-title.md002-another-decision.md- etc.
Status Values
- Proposed: Under discussion
- Accepted: Implemented and active
- Deprecated: No longer applicable
- Superseded: Replaced by newer decision
